KHDS research builds

Research becomes
a restaurant.

After every ten hospitality studies, Kodawa Labs creates a fictional business to test the findings as one complete guest experience. These experiments live separately from the restaurant concepts above—and every build tells its backstory.

The story behind the website

Ten studies.
One coherent idea.

Third Rain translates KHDS findings about atmosphere, meaningful choice, participation, prepared arrival and operational proof into a fictional contemporary East African restaurant in Toronto.

Its three seasons—First Rain, Long Rain and Ember Season—organise the menu, story, visual language and reservation journey.

Third Rain is an independent fictional study by Kodawa Labs—not a real restaurant or commissioned client project.
Every fictional KHDS build will show: the research behind it the hospitality model the findings applied its app status what it cannot prove

Our approach

Make booking, menus, events and locations easy to reach.

03

Design for the phone

Build for the screen where restaurant decisions usually happen.

04

Connect it to revenue
